Procedure to Enrolment
Step 1: Download “Summary of Project Form.”
Step 2: Write your concept or idea in “Summary of Project form” document with any of your science experiments, technology ideas, engineering ideas, robotic experiments/ any school projects, concepts or ideas. (If you have extra projects or pages, add to the same file.)
Step 3: Press the button labelled “Click to Submit the Form.”
Step 4: Fill in all the details and upload a photo and “summary of project”.
Step 5: Click Submit and Pay.
Step 6: Pay 350 rupees application fee, and your enrolment will be successful.
About the Program
The STEM Engagement Programme (SEP) promotes the application process and allows high school students to contribute to the agency’s mission to advance science, technology, engineering, and math exploration. The Office of STEM organisation employs a performance assessment and evaluation strategy consisting of three main components: the development of an idea or concept, sustainable activities, and a learning agenda.
This competition is for 9th–12th grade students in India who wish to showcase their high school concepts, ideas, research, and innovation projects in science, engineering, and technology. All school students from private to public schools are eligible.
This competition is an excellent platform for students who are budding innovators, big thinkers, achievers, young scientists, and young engineers to showcase their passion in their respective fields by communicating their findings to experts. The top 30–50 winners will be awarded the sponsored STEM Engagement Programme at the Singapore Science Centre, organised by STEM Organisation India, for one week. NSTEMC’s is open to 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. Participants have to submit high school concepts, ideas, research, and innovation projects that are student-initiated or from school programmes such as youth research programmes, science mentorship programmes, robotics, data science, coding, and technology-driven programmes, etc.
The topics range across all areas of science, engineering, and technology. NSTEMC’s objective is to be relevant to better align with high school concepts, ideas, research, innovation projects, and enterprise in the Indian landscape through the elements of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The competition hopes to continue to ignite and inspire the wonders of science in youth, technology, engineering skills, and future generations of scientists and engineers while nurturing their passion for scientific inquiry and developing creative problem-solving skills in STEM fields.
Eligibility Criteria: Class or Grade: [9th, 10th, 11th and 12th]
This contest is open to private and public high school students from 9th to 12th grade in India.
How do I register?
- Download this Summary of Project Form (Application Form).
- Every application for scrunity must be submitted with a minimum registration fee of ₹350.
- If you are a parent or coordinator, please remember to register and submit your students’ projects.
- All registrations and projects must be submitted before the deadline of
October 2, 2024.extended to October 10, 2024 The announcement of winners or selected students will be available online on October 19, 2024.
Selected Students:
- Free or sponsored educational tour to Singapore for a week.
- preparing the visas and passports for the selected students.
- Travel Dates to Singapore: January 12–18, 2025.
- Including flight tickets, accommodation, local travel, workshops, classes, exhibits, and food.
- Attending workshops, showingcase the selected projects, having hands-on experience with teachers and local students, visiting the Science Centre, and visiting top universities.
- Will be awarded “STEM Certification” after completion of the tour.
Instructions to follow
All ideas, concepts, impressions, notions, thoughts and projects that are submitted must use the following summary of project form:
1. Download this Summary of Project form (Application form)
- The Summary form can be a Word, Pdf, or JPEG image of this completed document, which will be requested on the registration form.
- Standard cardboard project board (36” x 48”) with all the information listed in the Judging Criteria. Take photos and write the summary of the project in downloaded form
- Up to 3 images of pages from the student journal (optional)
- Up to 2 images of any other materials the student would like to share (optional)
2. We will also be accepting online formats created using presentation software, such as Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides. Note that these projects must be no more than 15 slides and must be saved as a PDF before submitting.
- A PDF submission of this type of project would be provided on the registration form instead of several photos of a cardboard project board
- The following JPG images can also be added to this type of project
- Up to 3 images of pages from the student journal (optional)
- Up to 2 images of any other materials the student would like to share (optional)
For teachers: Be a fair judge!
Please consider participating as a judge. All projects are judged by both a STEM organisation’s staff member and a tutor’s. If you are interested in volunteering, please email nstemc@stemio.org. All judging for the competition will be done online in August and September. A couple of selected teachers will get a sponsored trip to Singapore.
